Some nice ideas for starting tapping here, whether you are playing a tapping instrument or a standard bass or guitar;

Interesting stuff. I am just trying to get an idea about how to use the category system that has been set up at the Tappistry Forum.

Why did you post this video here, rather than in "Electric Bass Tapping?"

Hi Don

I felt that the theory aspect of the video was more important than the actual instrument. Wendy's video, although using a bass, seems more about the exploring the bass register to me than the instrument itself. She does of course do a lot of tapping on the bass in the video, but I felt that her dedication to tapping was more apparent in the video than just the bass guitar. But...you may feel differently to me about this, and Electric Bass Tapping may be a better place for the video.

I have just subscribed to this topic to see what happens when I do that.

Jim:

No. I'm not sure I feel any differently about this than you. I like the reasons you chose to put the video in this category. There seems to be such potential for "crosstalk" in many of the categories that I'm just playing around, trying to discover where this crosstalk is valuable, and where it might just lead to confusion.

With the forum name changed to "The Classroom" and this being a workshop, it seems to fit.

I like that one of the first videos to make it up here is of a female player, breaking the stereotype and promoting the open-ness we all seem to want to engender here.

Perhaps inadvertent, but still noteworthy.
