I sort of do - I mean to try stringing my 1st Gen/Classic/Vintage in uncrossed bass-bottom and if it was nice I'd want to flip the pickups. But that is a long way away yet, so I will not claim it unless...

1. you are throwing it out
2. no one else wants it

I must confess although it will make ZERO impact on tone or playability I've always fancied a three-ply plate for my Megatar. Plus a black-painted body. But that's pure fashion and won't help me write any songs.

I was wondering by the way why you had this plate in the first place? What plans had prompted getting something like this?

My plan was to install a Sustainiac in the neck position on at least one side. Idea was derailed when this configuration was actually offered as an option by TT and the fact that I decided that I really would have to acquire another Megatar to fool around with; I had already swapped out my very first Megatar's pickup config. with the BluesBuster array and didn't really have any fun doing that. IMO the vintage Megatars provided a great platform for prototyping work, everything was mounted on the faceplate making swapouts "easy" for the prototyper, it's just that I didn't think this feature was feasible on the two Megatars I currently possess, they're perfect the way they are, should and will stay that way.

By any chance - do you have a dxf layout of your pickguard ? - or any other image format files ?

The reason I am asking, is that I am planning on changing my Megatar pickups out & have access to a laser cutter & acrylic material.

Thanks - appreciate any & all help !

I do not, check in with Megatars / Patrick, they might.
