Hello everyone. I've been playing a Grand Stick for awhile and had the opportunity to pick up a Warr Artist 12 String. I'm impressed with the feel and look. But the sound is another issue. I always practice through a Zoom H4n as a headphone amp and the Stick sounds fine. But the Warr sounds distorted. I'm plugging directly in on both instruments with no effects or processing of any kind. The melody side is not as bad except in the lower notes and the lower notes on the bass sound distorted and fuzzy. New batteries in the pickups. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

You said there's batteries involved? I assume for both pickups right?
If you're pickups system contains a preamp could be the gain too high for your zoom unit.

What happens if you drop the eq settings to flat and rolldown volume does distortion decrease?
