There is a Koyabu Board for sale at eBay for $1,321. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xkoyabu+board&_nkw=koyabu+board&_sacat=0 This is an interesting touchstyle instrument first constructed by the Japanese luthier, Yoshitaka Koyabu in 1981. It has some limitations. The rigid configuration of the tuners on the headstock doesn't allow the strings to be placed in any position. For example, the deep bass strings cannot be positioned in the middle of the fretboard. It is usually played with uncrossed hands. I've watched a few players on YouTube and have been fascinated by the sound and energy they've been able to get from this instrument, but I haven't seen any action from the company or any efforts at sales. They haven't recently appeared at the trade shows they've usually attended in the past. Does anyone know if the Koyabu company is still in operation or if the instrument is being commercially sold? Don

Hi Don, You and I had some interesting email exchanges a few years ago so I think you would remember me and our discussions about tapping instruments in general. By any chance did this Koyabu Board sell? I am curious about these instruments and would be interested in your thoughts even if it is sold. Thanks jRj
