Hello,

I am attempting to resolve some high frets on an instrument. I opted to spend some money on files instead of a shop fee (That way I will have them for later [smile])

Any tips from the pros on fretwork.

The following tools are on the way:
- fret leveling file
- fret dressing files (3 sizes)
- fret finishing file (to buff out after)
- fret rocker to identify problem frets

Any good sites out there for a how to?

Thanks

Just a follow up:

First pass at fretwork went well.

Best price I found on files was from here:  http://www.philadelphialuthiertools.com/

Process was as follows:
- Tape fret board
- Use rocker to identify high points on frets
- Mark high fret areas with sharpie
- use crowning file until sharpie was gone
- re-check
- after no more rocking buff out

Took a little bit of time but turned out pretty good
