I had not seen these before. The fellow is experimenting with different kinds of strap arrangements, which is interesting. I think (with proper placement of the strap buttons and strap locks) that his instrument would work well with the kind of strap that came with the original Megatar.

Looks like good craftsmanship, attention to detail. He has an interesting nut design, looks like he is using upward pressure on the nut and no 0 fret but I guess that may be unnecessary if you never play an open sring. It seems the action at the nut would be adjustable using the screws that secure the nut. He has put quite a lot of thought into his design.

wow...this is really quite exciting...an australian living and building touchstyle instruments in argentina...i wonder if the argentinians are purchasing them and how they might adapt their own cultural music to this type of instrument...i looked at some of his videos on youtube and they are quite stimulating...we should get him on tappistry to explain how his instrument is different from others being manufactured in the world....and how the argentinians are relating to this type of instrument....

I just sent him (Mark Harrington) an email inviting him to register with Tappistry and start conversing with us about his experiences as a touchstyle/tapping luthier in Argentina. I hope he joins us here and shares his ideas. Don __________________ - Megatar Classic, Max Tapper 12-String - Warr Guitar, Artist 12-String with MIDI - Chapman Stick, Grand, Satine, Classic
