I was searching youtube.com for new guitar tapping videos I could find and came across this chap from Montreal.

He plays on a Rainsong graphite guitar most of the time, but the two tapping songs are done with a smaller wooden acoustic in a horizontal position, much like a lap steel. His mentions his biggest influence was the Toronto guitarist Don Ross.
Excellent technique (as is expected with these types of guitarist!). In particular there is a great clarity of sound. I think he has quite significant amplification on the acoustic making it more akin to an electric.
