I notice that tappistry.org member Kevin (the old Krapmeister) has a new offering on eBay:
item number 7391966806
If Kevin is tuned in, I'd like to ask:
It looks like a W-shaped back of the neck. Is this a new design? Stu Box had something like that in his original units.
It seems to me that each new birth from Kevin's shop brings an improvement or two. Good job!

actually, it is just a way to keep the headstock sturdy. i have a small milling machine that i use to carve two channels for the tuning pegs, then leave the rest of the wood intact. i havent seen any of the models you mentioned, so i suppose it was just a serendipitous coincidence...

I take it back, the profile of the back of your instrument's neck is different than Stu's. Stu has added "contour lines" to the picture of the back of his neck, so you can see the contour more clearly than before:

Stu has added extra thickness for the left thumb, which is mandatory for comfort in an uncrossed design, in my opinion.
In any case, glad to see your instruments continuing to evolve, Kevin.
By the way, in your current offering, are the pickups closer to the bridge than before?

Hmmm....i understand why it's good with extra thickness for uncrossed playing, but why only on one side?

Perhaps to save weight?

It might be worth mentioning that the SRB series (judging from the one example I've seen) doesn't have this profile. Theirs is closer to the profile of a Warr or an ADG.
...and it seems to be spelled out on his website: "Basically the main difference being cheaper pick ups and the rear of the neck is flat meaning it does not have the teardrop contour of the SR's."
