Hello!
I recorded yesterday new MP3 file - a Bach 2-part Invention no. 13 (in A Minor), this is homerecording, done with low-cost hardware (Sounblaster Live soundcard, Red Box cabinet simulator, 6-string guitar for 600 US $, and amp).
I play 6-string guitar with touch technique, so there is only one track of guitar (recorded in one take).
Here is a link:
http://adam.fulara.com/a/mp3/Adam_Fulara-BWV_784b.mp3
it's verry small-only 0,6 MB (so evrybody can download it)
There is also high quality version at my web site:

in "MP3" section
What You think about my version of this piece?

Those are incredible! I'd be impressed if that was two guitarists playing. I'm floored that it's just one!
I have been working on Bach solo works for the electric bass for about 10 years now. ( wow, time flies, it seems like just a few years ago I was telling people 7 years )
I am concentrating on the solo cello and solo violin works. I'm planning on doing a CD really soon with 2 Cello Suites and a Partita for solo violin. Then, hopefully within a year or two, record all of the solo cello and solo violin works. After that ... perhaps ... the Art of Fugue, Inventions and Sinfonia, Goldberg Variations, Concertos ... yes, I know I'm mad! :D
I'll let you all know when I have something available. I don't do any tapping in any of the works except the 3rd Partita which I'm not ready to record yet.
( almost forgot )
I have some old MP3's at:

scroll down to the Audio section.

Oh my dog! That's stunning, man!
I'm a guitarist myself but haven't really tapped much on the guitar yet.
I'd be interested in seeing see a tablature of it, if you wouldn't mind sending me one?

Congrats again, that was awesome!

this is a big plan! I wish You to make this recordings, I have heard some of Your bass pieces (Bach tunes) from Your site long time ago when my friend - bass player told me this URL. I have one question - Inventions, Goldberg var. and Art of Fuge requires two or three tracks - will You play with two-handed tapping? I heard some nice pieces by Stu Hamm - two handed tapping and JS Bach prelude in C (from Das Wohltemperierte) or Moonlight Sonata... or You'll use "standard" technique and multitrack recording (like for example Josef Eotvos - Goldberg Variationen).

I don't have tabulature of this piece, I play it from sheet-notes, You can find it at www.sheetmusicarchive.net (http://www.sheetmusicarchive.net).
In the future I'll write probably tabulature to this piece.

I will multitrack those other works. The violin and cello works will be done solo.
Jozsef Eotvos' Goldberg Variations for guitar were done solo. There's transcription score available.
Kurt Rodarmer did a multitracked version on guitar which is note-for-note true to the original. I plan on eventually doing the same on my bass.
Jozsef, who is a friend of mine, has also recorded the Art of Fugue on guitar. It should be released sometime this month if it hasn't been already. He multitracked it but recorded multiple voices simultaneously. For example, he would do two tracks each of two voices.
Sincerely,
Dave

Yes, sorry for my mistake. I haven't heard this transcription, and probably I read some about new recording (multitrack - Art of Fuge), Josef has nice guitar - 8 string :) I have read very good opinions about Goldberg Variations recorded by Eotvos.
Now I enjoy Glenn's Gould 1981 recording of this pieces, do You like this recording? Some people hate GG recordings of Bach pieces, but I love it. In the future I'll probably buy Eotvos version of Goldberg Var.

I have that one on video (assuming the video version is the same as the CD version). I like it but I like other versions better. I like Gould's Bach recordings. I have all of his Bach CD's and three videos.
Personally, I don't like his humming though. I found a device that will remove the humming. You can find it at:
http://www.unpronounceable.com/gould/
There are some audio samples that demonstrate what it can do. It's really amazing!

Whichone do You prefer? Wanda Landowska (from Poland he,he), Rosalyn Tureck, or otherone? I have some, but there is a lot Goldberg Variations I haven't heard yet.
I enjoy also Sviatoslav Richter playing Bach pieces, but I think he didn't record Goldberg Variations.
Personally, I don't like his humming
I my opinion his humming sounds OK, this is individual case. He was a freak, his tunes broke standard thinking about Bach music played piano, and this is power of music he played.
Wanda Landowska never had been liked piano versions of Bach, Playel has made a special harpsichord for her (she played Goldberg recordings at this harpsichord),
Gould didn't like her variations - "too rubato" - he said.
