It was build in spring of 2004. After some changes in the last months is this project finished.

Siggi,
Nice work! Is the instrument completely hollow, or is there a block running through the center? Do you have any soundclips?

Siggi...the bear footprint inlay at fret 12 was a lovely touch, to finish a beautiful instrument!

Thanx for the compliments!
The idea for the beartrax label comes in my early tap guitar rehearsals. Iīve feeled me uncomfortible like a dancing bear with a ring in my nose: very slowly, round and round, leaded by a dompteur. ( My label for standart guitars is bear guitars )
Brownie have only a block of wood under the bridges.
The axe is a bit inspired by the 50īs silvertone jmmi Reed guitar, these formerly cheapo model with ice berg pic ups in it. The wooden bridge and the "guitar" pu on the bass side of the instrumend is also "vintage" oriented. More in the direction "beatles hofner" bass. Maybe an alternate to the piano like stick (tm) sounds...
But sorry, no sound bites available. Itīs on my to do list this wintertime....
