Hello everybody,
My Name is Mathias Sorof. I will say hello generally and introduce myself here on tappistry
Playing 6-string Tap Guitar since 1978 and the Chapman Stick since 1980 I became a professional musician in Germany with the Chapman Stick. Over the years I have brought out several Chapman Stick and Tapping Guitar featured Productions and CDs, stick solo , stick & ensemble and with jazz-trio. Actually my Album „Mathias Sorof - Stick Solo“ from 1988, which has been released as Vinyl-LP , is remastered and re-released this year on www.tap-and-scat-records.de .
For some little time I am active as teacher for chapman stick. I have organized some little stick seminars in my region and I have been invited recently to teach at the 2. Dutch Stick Seminar 2005 in Zaandam.
Soon I will organize more teaching activities in the north of Germany. If anybody is interested on further information, don´t hesitate to contact me.
