I'm playing a stereo 8 string tap guitar into a Trace Elliot 1x15" combo, I sometimes play a 4 string bass into it too. I'm running a distortion pedal on the treble side and may add one or two more effects at some point. Sounds simple?
In order to have both sides of the tapper and my bass plugged in to the same amp I've also got to take a small mixing desk (phonic mu502), 3 di boxes and all the cables (7 plus a couple of spares).
Does anyone have any solutions that require less gear? I'm probably going to be getting another tapper in the near future and I'm not that keen to have to add yet another di box and a bigger desk with enough channels to my arsenal. The guitarist will laugh at me again - he only turns up with a les paul, a fender twin and a lead!
