Hey...
If you want to see what gear im running go here:
http://fretboardist.tripod.com
there is a link from there to see the signal flow.
i get a really cool sound running my 2 guitar signals to the
studio400 and using a 5cent detune on each channel with
slightly different settings, especially when one of those
signals has some distortion on it...

Hi all
William asked me to pop over here from the Guitar Taphouse forum and list my set-up. So here it is for anyone interested:
I built my own guitar from a Martin HD-28 kit - customized a bit for my style of playing: very low action; very thin bracing; flat fretboard etc.
I use Elixer Lights, and the guitar lives a whole step below standard tuning. I use about 6 million alternate tunings - all a whole step below "normal" - for instance CGCGCE on my guitar really sounds BbFBbFBbD
My live sound works off a Highlander undersaddle pick-up plus internal mic. The undersaddle goes through a beautiful Ibanez stereo chorus that's about 20 years old. Mackie 1202 routes the signal through various compressors, verbs etc.
"Here It Is" was recorded straight to DAT using a stereo matched pair of Octava MC012's that passed through some borrowed (don't know what kind anymore) pre-amps and a RNC compressor. A great editing/effects engineer, and an even greater mastering engineer made the sound come alive...

Sansamp Bass Driver DI (for that warm tube sound) - bass side

Boss SE-70, synth - melody side
encased in a SKB 4-rack with a Furman power conditioner
SWR Workingman's 15 combo amp
SWR Workingman's 1x15" cab

And for the portable practice sessions, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on both the Fender Stereo Pak and Bass Pak. Both these units interconnect, with the melody and bass sides feeding into each respective units and their effects, and outputting in stereo to a headphone, using 9volt batts for each unit.
Here's some photo's of these units:

Those Fender units seem very cool, Manny.
When I get my Stick in May or June, I'll be plugging it through a POD for the melody side and a Bass POD for the bass side. Minimalist and portable, for the urban guy without a car. :D

My rig may win for simplest configuration.
Warr melody into Big Muff, into Carvin 6 channel PA head.
Bass side directly into Carvin PA head.
Baddabing!
On occasion, I'll use my Lexicon Vortex to funkify my bass side
