Hey all,

Here is something that I put on my site, I am trying to employ acoustic tapping that is a cross between Stanley Jordan and Preston Reed, yes, key word try. This piece does not have any improv like Stanley Jordan, this is the first thing I've ever written and recorded. I've been performing the improv stuff live just yet to be recorded, but will be soon. Please keep in mind I am a traditional player (jazz soloist) and just started to really get into tapping on my own other than when it's needed for the working band. I'm explaining way too much I know because I've heard the other players on this board and know I am stepping way out of my boundries. Any suggestions on improvement are welcome. I almost forgot the piece is called "Au Revoir" on http://www.bryancroad.com/soundclipsOther.html

That excerpt's very good. I would gladly buy a whole album of that kind of music! Wish I could do that sort of stuff

What tuning did you have it set to?

Thanks, funny you should say as I am in the midst of making a whole CD like that, and it branches out into improv etc,. For that song the tuning is (going from low to high) C,G,D,G,G,D. Every song is and will have a different tuning. When I do improve I use the standard EADGBE, the fourth thing has always thrown me for a loop. Thanks again and I'll let you know when it's finished.
