Hey there fellow tappers!
Heres a pic of me playing my Mobius Megatar.
Its was originally tuned in inverted 5ths,but being a bassist of twelve years i found this tuning to be very limited in low notes. So i did a bit of research and discovered a few new tunings.Ive tried a few but have gone with what i feel is the perfect set-up for me.Im not sure what its called(But someone on this website will know for sure!)
I have a standard bass bottom set of low strings, but they are inverted so the lowest string is in the middle of the fretboard(This makes it really easy to reach) and i have the harmony set as standard.I think its called mirrored 4th or somthing like that?
With this tuning i get all the lows i need. And its really easy to get around the fretboard.
I highly recommend this tuning to all bassists, turned tappers.
I also highly recommend checking out a Mobius Megatar if your thinking about tapping.Even more so if your in the uk,because Myron(The uk dealer) is having a sale on some ex-Demo stock and he can tune them any way you like!Thats where i got mine and it was in near mint condition.
Anyway takecare everyone and keep on tapping!
