As Tappistry is focused on being a resource for tap guitarists, you are welcome to submit any photographs of your tapping instruments
You may upload attachments or remotely link to images using the tags
Uploading photos as attachments
Please be aware that there is a limited amount of server space in which all Tappistry content is stored. It is recommended that users upload photos if:
- You do not have a stable, long-term place to store your pictures on the web and do not visit the forums regularly
- You uploaded photos to a free web-based picturebook, but it doesn’t allow ‘hot-linking’ of images
- You only plan to submit an occasional picture per thread
So, without discouraging use of this perfectly workable feature, try to keep within what you think are reasonable size limits – for example, one to three photos of an instrument
Linking to images
When linking to images, the space restrictions only apply to where the files are stored. For this reason it is generally preferred over uploading attachments if:
- You have an established place on the web where you can store files on and link to
- You visit the forums enough to update links to your photos should they change
General rules
Be aware that any photos found on the web are likely to be under copyright protection of their owners. You may only post your own photos, unless you have gained explicit permission from those concerned
