Very nice tone on the guitar. You could have stayed with the melody a bit more in the beginning, just to state the theme. On the other hand, everyone and their cat knows Autumn Leaves, so maybe it's not that important.

I liked it. I liked the crisp tone on the guitar lead and I liked the violinist's tone, too. My cat does not know Autumn Leaves, of course.

Hello Matthew,
I also enjoyed your performance. May I ask what type of guitar and amp you used ? (I'm afraid violin details would be lost on me.)
Neither of my cats or my dogs (also 2) knows Autumn Leaves, but then I've never been impressed with their musical tastes.
Well done.
Regards, and Happy New Year (from Australia) ... Mike

hey guys, glad you all liked the guitar tone... there's a picture and description of my instrument here...

My amp is a roland Blues Cube 30 Watt amp that I got for christmas from my parents when I was 18 or something. This guitar has such a big sound and pushes out so much tone, that I think I prefer it through a solid state amp instead of a tube amp... tube amps are just too much for me...

Man, I'm really impressed by this. I have the hardest time with the counter-point sort of touchstyle and am always blown away by you guys who seem to do this so effortlessly.
Very cool, and the violin is pretty cool, too.

skinny, thanks a lot... my mindset when approaching something like this is to play the bass / chords just as I would if I were playing my guitar traditionally, and then jam around the melody with my right hand as best I can. There really isn't much thought put into it now that I think about it, occasionally I have to get a little creative with the fingerings, or my right hand has to play a bass note or something, but by and large, it's pretty straightforward... I'm assuming you have some traditional guitar experience, is that correct? Just approach it open mindedly, and with confidence.
I don't know what you mean by counterpoint, could you please explain?
I'm really glad you liked the track, if you want to learn it, let me know, I can tell you exactly what I did to learn it myself. :D
