Hi to all of you
I am a lady tapper from Belgium - my teacher is Daniel Schell -
I play on a Belgrado t-g.
It would be nice to enter in contact with other ladies - from Europe or/and America (or else) who are tapping also... and get all of us in contact...
See you soon

Corinne,
I just saw your post. I've got a Warr 8-string in the Trey Gunn /
Crafty tuning. I love it but, for whatever reason, still spend
most of my time on regular 6-string guitar. Cheers,
Joan

Thanks for a great, informative article. It's good to know there are so many tapping women. One woman wondered why there weren't more. Well, one reason may be that tap guitars tend to be large - the fretboard is significantly longer & wider than on a regular guitar. I've gotten used to - and enjoy - having to shift around more but it can be intimidating.

I don't know if tap-guitar is more intimidating than usual guitar as I never played the last. What I see is that TG gives much more possibilities than guitar. But I should add that the kind of music usually played is modern... I don't see often women playing pop or rock guitar or bass guitar, instrument usually played by men (as far as I know... I am not really liking that kind of music - My preferences going to classical and jazz musics, as well as Indian).
This is just my feelings, I may be wrong...
