Thanks to the blessing of finding a used ADG 8 string on Ebay a few weeks ago, I've finally been able to get back into the wonderful world of touchstyle playing. I've opted to leave the instrument setup in the Crafty tuning it came in and, despite playing bass & guitar for the last 20 years,I've found myself adapting to it very well. My question is, can anyone give me a few practice tips or suggest places to look for some instructional info on the 'net? I've done a bit of searching but only seem to find dead ends or just not quite the info I'm looking for. I have made some fingerboard charts to help me with the visualization of note placement and the building of chords with the left & right hands but I'm hungry for some ideas on how to relate this information to my daily practice schedule.

t.drinn,

I found Stanley Jordan's video very, very helpful as it answer all questions, hand seperation, rhythms, and just thinking piano-ish etc,. etc,. I am speaking for myself of course. Check out everyones approach though as there is something everyone has to offer, if you get the video (which I encourage) at very first kick back with a beer and just listen, the next time you have your ADG-8 in hand it's a little more innate. Hope that helps some. M'Kaaayy?!
