how do you play guitar with your teeth?

everybodys seen it done, but how do you actually play guitar with your teeth?!

curl your lower lip over your bottom teeth, pull your jaw back, open your mouth a little, and use an upstroke with your front teeth.

this is a touchstyle forum, however. maybe you could work out some weird technique where you tap notes with the tip of your tongue? that kind of mouth playing fits in more here ;) j/k

sounds sweet. u do know u can play harmonics with your tongue? iv impressed a few people with that. say youre playing the 7th fret on the B string, touch the 19th fret on that string with your tongue and you'll get a harmonic. it works with any fret as long as u play the same note with your tongue higher up the string

I guess I lead a sheltered life. I have never seen anyone play a guitar with his/her teeth.

There is a guitar-MIDI unit that you can blow into, though, the Ztar Mini-Z. I never understood that one, either.

OUCH!

I played with my teeth once during a concert and i tried practicing that way and it did not feel good. I don't think your teeth were designed to be used as guitar picks :P. I just hold a pick in my mouth and use that, nobody can tell the difference.

there's the flaming guitar smash trick. there's the "hold the butt end of your guitar in your crotch and stroke the neck like a giant penis" trick. there's the "super fast hammer on and pull off while flicking your tongue at a Foxy Lady" trick. there's the "do EVERY DRUG" trick.

I can't imagine anyone needing any more tricks than that.

BTW: Be sure to brush your teeth BEFORE playing with them. Otherwise your strings will get yukky.

I have heard good things about Tongue-Style playing, but have never tried it. I have one chipped tooth already.

You could lay it horizontal, and tap the strings with little soft mallets, like a hammered dulcimer???

You'd still get the percussive sound of the string contacting the frets rather than the mallets, but I guess you could do some accurate flams, drags and ruffs like Tony Levin gets on his 'funk fingers' drumstick bass (albeit helped by Jerry Morrata)
