Don't know about that book - one video I have found to be helpful is 'The Art Of Tapping For Electric Bass' with Dewayne Pate. It was made in 1992 and the guy has a shocking mullett and paint splattered jogging pants but apart from that I thing it's great. Lots of ideas from the very basics, up to some more complicated stuff, but really easy to follow.:D

Hi Tappers,
I just got this little Mel Bay QWIKGUIDE Book and CD today. 50 Two Hand Tapping Workouts for Electric Bass by Chris Matheos. Its TAB only and for standard tuning.
Starts out with Tapping with each hand on different parts of the neck and moves on to octave scales, playing a seperate octave with each hand at the same time, playing chords with both hands, playing walking bass lines against chord tones, and other tapping exerices that can be applied to any guitar or bass.
Book and CD retails for only $5.95 US. I picked up a copy on Ebay for $3.95 plus shipping. This book is not style specific but assumes and suggests you use the Tapping Workouts as ideas that can be adapted to any style of music.
Happy Tapping

There's a Stu Hamm video from the late 80s to early 90s that I learned two hand tapping from. He also goes into some funk playing (slap and/or pop). Equally ridiculous outfit as Andy described, but once you're done ROFLing there's some good info there to be had.
