I want to make a stand for my guitar, like a cello endpin, or like this (http://www.tappistry.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2514).

The one in that link is too complicated for me to make, I think.

Basically, I want to create an 'attachment' of sorts near the endpin, which will make it compatible with stands like snare and cymbal stands.

If someone has homemade/DIY ideas for this, even better.

Thanks!

I made this one:

costed me a few bucks for the aluminium pipe, attaching to the megatar was trivial because of the two threaded holes in the back.

Thanks for the reply, zzevv2!
What do you do to ensure those threads will stay with frequent attachment and removal of the pin?

I haven't thought of this, but I don't expect this to be a problem: the megatar has a steel hole and comes with steel bolts.

A steel hole - that's precisely what is required here. I wonder if I can install one in my guitar, and how it'd be done. Hm...
