I had the opportunity to sit in last night playing my Solene with a 'smooth-jazz' group - drums, bass, sax, keys. The gal on keys had a Roland KC1000(?) amp - it was a monster. A monster in size (musta weighed 200 lbs), power and tone. I had the chance to play through that thing during a set with just me and the bass player. Wow! I could fill a 1,000 seater solo with that thing. It was full-range of course and I could EQ any tone I liked and (for you 10, 12, 14 ad nauseum # of strings players) it had multi-channel ins/outs and it could really cover the bass end. It musta been 300 or 400 watts. After the show, I played it through it solo - at low volume - just me and the amp. It sounded great that way, also. I have to check the cost, but it might be able to replace my little Barbetta for loud, rock/blues oriented kinda' stuff. Very cool amp! And those of you who have experience with Roland know there stuff is built like a tank and a brick house combined.

I have a KC100 which i think sounds pretty flat, even with extra pre-amps. I only keep it around for the occasional Keyboard gig.

But nothing kicks *** like my Boogie Mk II! I don't know why they messed with the Mark series, the mark II is the pinncale of Boogie-hood!
