I ran into this thing a few minutes ago when I got up on the internet. Crazy stuff. I guess it really isn't a tapper in the truest sense as it has no strings but it's close enough. I think I like it.

The Eigenharp is like a Ztar with a breath controller and looks like a lot fun to play. I like how touch pads are configured to respond to multiple finger axis and the lower pads can be used for percussion, ect.

I knew I had seen the Eigenharp before....it just took a while to remember where.

Check out the guy in the lower right hand side of the picture. :)

Don't get me wrong, I think the Eigenharp is pretty cool, it just brought back a bit of nostalgia for me.

ROFL ! It seems like more of a MIDI controller than instrument to me. Cool, none the less.

I was lucky enough to meet the inventors of this instrument and spend an hour or so playing one. Coming from a stick-style tapper it feels incredibly natural to hold, and was an amazingly accurate and expressive controller.

I'd love to see a band with one of these and a touchstyle player.
