I really enjoyed your tapping skills.

I have been trying to develop that holdsworth style with eight fingers on the melody side of my chapman stick and on my steinbergers too because i figure when trying to play holdsworth 8 fingers are better than four !

Have you got any tips for people like me who are beginners in the 8 finger style.

Do you place your hands a fourth apart and think of two different scale patterns at once (one under each hand) or do you think along the string like 6 notes at a time? Also if you ascend six notes (~8 frets) on one string and you want to keep ascending you have to skip every alternate string. Is that what you do for scales?

I noticed you have a book, but unfortunately i can't speak french. How can people buy your book currently?

Cheers

Thanks for your message.

for the major scale, i think 6 notes per strings. I used standart tunnings. Sometimes i practise only with my right hand with 3 notes per strings scales patern.
I tried to mix 5, 6 or 7 notes per strings, sometimes less.

try this exercices, maybe can help you

Man that was really nice. I live for fusion / post bop. The guitar looks like a Steinberger. Do you like it ?

like the music in this video a lot too.

That kind of technique kind of makes want to tune up a four string bass in octaves, ranging from deep bass e1 too high guitar e4. It should fit monophonic 8 finger tapping well, and it would be VERY easy to learn where all the notes are!! Man, how weird am i??

Also, youre influenced by Zappa, arent you? come on, be honest... it's nothing to be ashamed about....
