This is a purely personal bit of news.

My wife and I are moving to Mount Shasta, California, and will be living there by September first. Mount Shasta is a snowcapped mountain some 14,000 feet high in far Northern California, and on the western flank of the mountain you find the small town named Mount Shasta.

The Megatar warehouse and some of the shop is already moved, and the rest is boxed up awaiting transport, so no instruments for a few weeks. I'm looking forward to the new shop, because it's nicer.

As of a few months ago I've begun an online autoblography, which you will find at http://www.bloggard.com. On this weblog, I've been writing a story each day, about people and places and events from the past. If interested, you can read more about Mount Shasta, as well as Mick Jagger, the Thumbtack Bugle, the Buddha next door, the Canyon, Ruru the Guru, and more. There's a search box and archives. I've got behind this last week, but should soon return to a new story every day.

If any of you wish to come and help me load and unload the truck, please contact me privately :)

My new mailing address will be: Post Office Box 989, Mount Shasta CA 96067. New contact phone is (530) 926-1961.

The new place sounds great! I wish you a lot of success with it, Traktor. I've never been to Mt. Shasta, but it must be beautiful.

Thanks for the info on the stories - I'll have to check it out.

Has anyone heard from Traktor lately? I wonder if Megatar is back in production...

Hi, RJ,

Not back in production yet, but getting closer. Got the house and office moved and generally functional. But my original plan for setting up my shop had failed, so I've been seeking an alternate.

Last week I found a place and made a deal, so I'll be arranging the moving and set-up within the next few weeks, and hope to be back in production soon.

In the meantime, I've been amusing myself writing a micro-story each day at The Adventures of Bloggard (http://www.bloggard.com) weblog. Drop by. Read some of the stories. Feel free to comment thereupon.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Hi, RJ,

I'm happy to say that our first production Megatar from the new facility -- which shall be known as the secret megatar laboratory (or megatabory ) -- has shipped today.

I'd like to thank the Academy, and my father and mother, and our Lord and- Oh, wait. No, no, that's not it. Sorry. Got carried away for a moment.
