here are some pics of a rare polycarbonate Stick from 1987 called "the Grid"
10 0.13 strings (similar tuned)
Midi stereo pickup (no audio)
a rack LVL unit necessary for real tuning (remembers 64 tunings), dynamics, pitch bend and stuff.

right now I'm fixing the rack unit problem (refuses to see 4 bass strings).
Later I may send it to SE for truss rod and bridge installation, putting regular strings on it and a stickup for sure.

I don't know if it's still true, but just a few years ago, there was a company in Washington State (USA) that did repair on IVL Grid units. Their name was, believe it or not, 'Bozotronics.'
Perhaps they're still there, and perhaps they still do repairs.
Also, somewhere in my storage, I actually have a Grid unit. It's a "half" unit, meaning that it's for five not ten strings. So while I'm hoping you can get your unit repaired, if for some reason not, I'd sell this Grid unit reasonably, as I have no need for it. I picked it up somewhere along the way as a trade, and it works, but I've not used it since.
But you're in Russia, right?
Guys in Russia just fix everything, I've heard. Or is that just a story?
And you build bicycles? That's pretty cool.

Thanks for the advice!
i hope the repair will not be difficuilt, looks like a disassembling and proper contact cleaning might solve it.
Russian craftsmen are strange - one of ten does a super quality, fast and cheap repais, while the other 9 waste your time, money, return your item in worse condition than it was before, throw away rare manuals and blame you for all of the above ) The guy who crafted my 8-string was both: he did a great job. he could have done even better if he didn't miss the timeline by 2 years, forcing me to give it to another luthier for completition.
Bike building and airbrushing is indeed one more hobby of mine, I guess I can now boast a little )
My first and only airbrush work, has somedings from hard riding(will do some more airbrushing soon when finish building airbrush workshop):

First bike with completely self-made steel frame, built in one dai in a flash of inspiration while having nothing to do in the workshop, then painted by another man in 3 hours (although I did both Buddhas).
