Deos anybody hear know of a pedal that would allow you to route 2 inputs to either or both of 2 outputs?

Something like this

Setting 1)
Input 1 -> Output 1
Input 2 -> Ouptut 2

Setting 2)
Input 1 -> Output 1
Input 2 -> Ouptut 1

Setting 3)
Input 1 -> Output 2
Input 2 -> Ouptut 2

I have seen lots of ABY switches, but they usually combine 2-to-1 (or split 1-to-2).

Even better would be an expression pedal that would allow you to mix to signals in an AorB or AandB way. I am guessing this kind of thing exists, but I have very knowledge of pedals.

The stereo volume pedals are definitely handy. Gotta get me one.

Q, thanks for pointing out the StepAbout. It looks like it will take care of the routing, but <gulp> $775 is a lot of bread.

The StepAbout is certainly not cheap but it sounds really good. So if you need a high impedance preamp plus a routing matrix, the price is fair. I'm not sure that buying an equivalent preamp plus the gear needed for the routing will not be much less, and it will be cumbersome / noisy due to the cabling and batteries...

Cheers, Daniel.

I didn't reallize the inputs were hi impedance. That may make a difference for me. Maybe someone will have one at FredTap.

Has anybody tried the StepAbout on an instrument with piezo pickups?

After pricing out all of these pedals, I'm really starting to understand the appeal of the Pod X3. :(

OK. I think I have a cost effective solution using 2 ABY pedals and 2 Y cables. I see Radial Bigshot ABYs, which should have good sound quality and no pops for <$50 a peice on craigslist. HOSA y-cables are about $5 a peice. The Bigshots also have tuner outs, so I think I can string everything together for about $115 using the routing shown in the picture.

It certainly doesn't have the tidyness or preamp capabilities of the StepAbout, but it costs much less.
