I would like to encourage everyone to vote for Jamsire on the Guitar Rig contest.
Whether or not you like Megatar, Tap Ladder, and Stick, as are demonstrated on his video, his promo of two-handed touchstyle helps us all in advocating this wonderful and fun way to make music.
To vote for Jamsire, here are the three steps --
#1. Go to the VIDEO:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMgpUaKbnu0&sdig=1
#2. Carefully click on the FIFTH STAR (the one on the right) below the video. (You need to be logged in, as a YouTube member to do this.)
#3. You can VOTE EVERY DAY.
It won't let you vote twice today, but you can vote today, and tomorrow, and the next day, and so on.
If a bunch of us vote for Jamsire, every day, he may well win, and in the doing we're also increasing the 'views' which will take his message to an ever-wider YouTube audience.
So, please, vote today, and vote often!

I gotta tell y'all............................
I am most grateful!
Everything came to a head:
1. Traktor selling me Megatars
2. Tappistry.org
3. NYC Stick Seminar
4. Glenn of No Endorsements
5. Brett Bottomley - seriously
6. Greg Howard
7. Jim O'Gara - literally got me back into playing Stick
8. TAPLADDER!!!
9. Video Camera
10. Time
11. USS Oakland!
And all of your support.
Next year - please, everyone - do something in this contest. It is worth what ever you make it worth.
Let show everyone who will listen - that tapping is what's happenin'.
Thank you all again.

Hey thats a good thing! THe voting will be fair now. Tappers are not inclined to cheating but we all know those heavy metal guitarists will do anything!!! :D

From guitarrigcontest:
"Due to popular demand, we will now include all contest entries in the artist jury process. This also means that the ranking process will take some time.
All contestants will soon receive a message with more info. Thanks for your patience and for hanging on! "
Looks like our local hero and the pogo-stick girl are back in the running.

So...........................
Pogo Stick girl (no guitar, just violin and pogo stick) - #10
Jamsire - #26.
The only consolation is that an NS Stick player came in 8th place (even though his song was well over the 5 minute time rule).
Thanks for all the support! I learned how to use a camera!

Nevertheless your video was awesome. I sent it to my friends and they were asking about all those weird guitars.

Its horrible. Jamsire really deserved a place way up on the list, and i know im right!
Im sure the NI folks thought: OH NO that video sounds amazing, its creative and fun, but look at all those awsome guitars and those TAPPERS. We have never seen such beauties. It will take the focus away from our product, so lets push this awsome awsome video down on the list, and choose something crappy so the guitarrig can SHIIIIINE in the eyes of the consumers!! I bet thats the reason why they changed the rules too!!!
BASTARDS!!

Ernie,
Your video, tune & playing were AMAZING, regardless of the results of the contest.
Things that I liked:
- The song is really good.
- The playing skillfull and tastefull!
- The variety of instruments & sounds! I really liked the parker that you use at the begining, loved the punchy & deep sound of your stick, the funky sound of your megatar, and that tubular guitar is awesome.
- The use of the tapladder was a very nice touch.
Congratulations!
Will you do an "encore" for us?
Cheers, Daniel

Well then!!
I want to thank all of you for your kind words! I hope that if they are crazy enough to do this again - that all of you will consider participating in the contest. That way they will be flooded by tappers.
An encore? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Ok. When classes are over in a few weeks - I'll do something.
Any requests?
