Photo Gallery.

I would like to see a photo gallery in Tappistry.Org just dedicated to member photos of anything tapping related. We have a diverse crowd and it would be very interesting. Traktor what do you think?

I have no objection, except that I would ask that the photos be trimmed to a pixel width of 400-460.

Occasionally people throw huge pix up. It distorts the forum software, and you have to scroll to see it. And then there's bandwidth and disk space use. (We're getting a little low on disk space.) So maybe a sticky post at the top requesting photo sizing, the forum would still run fast and it would be easiest to see the photos.

And of course, the photos can always be on some other site, and just referenced here with the IMG button above, which makes no demands on bandwidth or disk space at all.

Hello Traktor,
I am not very savy when it comes to things computer related so I would not make a good moderator. I was just putting the idea out and after some research I understand about limited disc space pictures take up.

Fiddle. Actually, I wasn't saying we couldn't do it. It's clearly a good idea.

I'm just requesting that the photos either be (a) trimmed to fit the column size here, which is plenty visible and doesn't distort the forum wildly, and/or (b) host them elsewhere (like on your own site) and link to them.

We can host some photos. I just don't want to throw away disk space and bandwidth on oversized photos which work *less* well than photos of a reasonable size.

(Some folks don't know how to trim photos; but that's just a fact of life. That's why it would be swell to have a moderator to help them. Perhaps yourself, for example. After all, you could *learn* about computer stuff. Everybody can learn. It's easy. Just go step by step.)

And once again, it would be helpful to find a moderator, who could help people from time to time with this. Who would like to be the Photo Guru?
