Hi guys,

I´ve put some pix and infos `boud my new developed BLUE TRAX.

see:http://www.geocities.com/bearguitars/BlueTrax.html

After more than 2 years do I find time to realise a lot of my ideas in this project.

Allways do I have think `boud a tap guitar for playin loud enough with other accoustic instruments but(!) - without an extra amp.
It should sounds bit like my reso guitars. Also I want have a bit of my "village dump" tap guitar, where I`m feel always comfortable, but with an extended range. So I put a 6 str. and an 8 str. group together.
Also should it look like a heavy played vintage axe from earlier days, but without the problems of them.

That`s only few ideas behind these project. My next project is scetched and ready in my imagination...

Any comments?

Best, SIGGI

Wonderful idea Siggi! And the instrument really looks good! Will you bring it to E-tap 2008?

Cheers, Daniel.

Beautiful work Siggi!!! How does it sound? Is that a resonator?

The resonator/bridge/tailpeice combo looks fantastic. Truly a work of art.

no, it`s not a resonator. There`s too much strings for it.
I have replaced the resonator cone with a mid 60s havard speaker from an fender champ, add a amp powerd with an accu pack.
sounds for me a bit like a wooden dobro, and in the bass range like my fender reso bass.

the design for it is developed in a lot of scetches for it. over the time of 2-3 years comes one detail to another. on the end should it a bit like these rusty james tussard guitars, or even like a dobro from the 30s where you some times find at the vintage dealer.

a bit like a sculpture, you have an imagination. while you work on it, goes the project in a direction, and you have to follow...
