Hello to everyone,
I just joined Tappistry today and figured I should jump right into the mix. I am a New York based musician (Please don't hold that against me) proficient in keyboards, piano, and voice. I also have some experience with acoustic and elecrtic guitars, Bouzouki and Mandolin, and recently a bandmates Chapman Stick (10 string, standard tuning, passive pickups).
I am currently searching for a touchstyle instrument and this is what I want/need from one: A broad and unique range of sound.
An unparalleled amount of playability and last but not least I am looking for comfort as I will be playing it for the rest of my life.
To avoid any "Which one is better?" posting I will ask the folowing and come to my own conclusions (I hear a sigh of relief from the moderator).
I am interested in a Warr guitar for many reasons but i have no access to one. As for other touchstyle instruments, it seems that they are even more difficult to locate than the Stick and the Warr.
<<<<<<<<THE POINT>>>>>>>>
Does anyone know how I can go about examining/playing a Warr guitar. Buying a plant ticket to Cali. to see the instruments created firsthand isn't what i'm looking to do, but I would drive quite a bit from Long Island, NY to see one.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I have two Warr guitars and plan to sell one of them because I need the cash and can only play one at a time! One is an Artist, 4 years old, 6x6, standard Bart pickups; the other is an Artisan, also 6X6, and loaded with MIDI, Piezo, floating Barts. Both are fabulous instruments, and each has its own special attractions. I can't decide which to let go, so i will let fate decide. I am in Lancaster, PA, and if you want to come down to see them, let me know. I can tell you that the Artist will cost you $1,900; the Artisan will cost $3,000. If I sell the Artisan, I will also sell (for more $) a virtually-new GR-33 to go with it.
