Hi everyone,

Without making too much out of the content of the previous thread, I'd like to humbly apologize to the members of this forum for my occasional rants against Greg Howard. After Traktor's last few posts, I realized that I was in fact guilty of flaming, cursing and ultimately hijacking his thread. Having been a part of internet forums for many years, I know full well that this is a no-no.

This forum happens to be responsible for my aquisition of a Warr Phalanx, which I obtained through a trade for my Chapman Stick. I played the Stick for many, many years and loved it. The weight, the sound, and it's inherent uniqueness are all good reasons to own one. I had a very hard time letting it go, but felt it was time to try something new as most musicians tend to do during the span of their musical existences. Having made such a trade was a true stroke of luck... the Warr is awesome. I'd still like to own a Stick of my own (I currently have a loaner... an old poly) but until I can afford one, I'm in good company with the Phalanx. For this reason, this forum is special to me and I like to see nice, happy things transpire here.

Please know that my posts to Greg Howard were made in an attempt to preserve the integrity of this forum, and to defend our ability to voice our preferences and opinions without a seemingly imperial political constraint. I simply cannot stress enough to Greg Howard that no one comment made about the Stick, especially by a Stick player, is enough to destroy the image of the most popular tapping instrument in history.

I also extend my apology to Greg. My posts should not be taken as an expression of personal dislike, only as a measure of my concern for a forum whose members he does not respect.

Let's clink glasses and let music reign here, shall we?

Bestest Regards,

K Rex

K Rex, Looks like you love both intstruments. It would be interesting to see what to you are the main differences and what are the advantages in both the stick and the phalanx.

Indeed!! In fact, I think it's about time we all discuss the merits and shortcomings of the various brands available on the market. I'll start a new thread.

Its cool K Rex, sometimes we get sucked in a few members disputes just because we are human and its our forum just as much it is thiers. I don't see this in other rooms and I hate to see it here.

Fiddle.
