sounding great as always. One of the best stick sounds around. Later i will listen to it on real speakers, not this laptop bass sucking thing.
Uplifting tune.
A healthy balance of tapped notes, repeated notes, pulloffs, chords and double notes in the "melody" hand, giving a lot of character to the arrangment. Nice chords spiced with bass runs in the left. Very signature rob martino.

I agree. Nice dynamics and feel, Rob. BTW, "One Cloud" has made it onto the bedtime mix for my son.

Thanks for the thoughts guys and welcome to the group Alan... Cantus Firmus is one of the most impressive albums I've discovered the past couple years, so it's nice to know I'm not offending guys from a top notch prog band with my tunes. :)
I was greatly assisted by the sheet music archive on the Gentle Giant website, as some of those neat chords are tricky to figure out by ear. There's still some little details in the piece I'd like to work in (the string quarter and bass have some cool little parts in the original tune).

Nice playing. And your recording quality is great. I only know a little Gentle Giant. I thought Civilian was an awesome album that carried on the prog rock+pop direction. Hardcore GG fans probably think that one is too pop.
