I play a Warr Artist-10 and an ADG-8. The output of the passive electronics on the ADG is, of course, significantly less than the active electronics on the Warr. This has always bugged me a bit so I finally did something about it! I just picked up the new Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster, a stomp box that boosts the signal 6db to 25db with flat EQ. I haven't been super scientific but it looks like the 8db to 10db range makes up the passive/active difference and, voila, I'm now able to use the same equipment settings for both instruments. I picked up the unit for around $75 and would highly recommend to anyone needing a little signal boost that otherwise does not effect the tone of the instrument.
