I played my Warr Artist 10 for the final number at our Guitar Circle of Chicago show Saturday night in Angola, IN. My wife snapped this picture, thought I'd share it here.

Very beautiful instrument!

Can you attend the guitarcraft courses with a touchguitar or
only with a 6 string acoustic? Do they have teachers for
touchguitars?

Best wishes,

Alex

Nice looking instrument ! Does that upper horn on the body poke you in the rib, or does it just look that way ?

Thank you! LOL, no it just looks that way, no poking going on. It's actually quite comfortable. The upper horn is significantly smaller than the lower one, it's an optical illusion kind of thing happening in this picture. For a better view of the instrument by itself, check the guitar section on my website at www.lorenclaypool.com (http://www.lorenclaypool.com)

I usually play standing and seem to alternate between a traditional strap and harness strap as the mood hits me. This particular show was seated which is also how I usually record; most often when seated I'll use the traditional strap.

Alex,

Thank you! I forwarded your question to Hernan Nunez, Guitar Craft Director for Europe & South America. Hernan's reply -

"Yes, only with 6 string acoustic!

Alain Pinero teaches touchguitar in Spain, this is not GC but related. Trey Gunn has been giving touchguitar workshops, probably more info can be found in his website. "

To Senor Nunez's comments I would add that Markus Reuter is also active in touchguitar workshops and has a background in Guitar Craft.

Thanks,

Loren

Thanks Loren, for the info!

Yes, I actually attended the one last year. It was a great experience and improved my playing and sound alot.

Of course it resulted in much work and I had to built up my technique from the basics again...

but it's worth it!
:)
