Do you know this big french funky brass section ?

It's a musical association (more than 500 people !) composed by several Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, and all kind of wind instruments (flute, clarinet, ...).
The rythm section is: a drummer, some percussionists, and last but not list, a Stick Player.

They could be 30 to 50 on stage !

There are some videos here (http://www.radioceros.com/ondemandvideo/tarace/taracevideo.htm).
You can see the Stick Player (here it's Florent L'Hériteau; sometime it's Nicolas Joly; before it was Jo Ruffier Des Aimés; and maybe, a day, I will be the Player too !) on "Camel", "Une fois de plus" and "Le Soleil".

Look at others videos too !

I have the second Tarace Boulba CD, great stuff. Takes your breath away just listening to that gang going off in all directions at once.

Hi Ola !

The Stick sound is more present on the first album. If I come in Belgium this summer, I'll bring it. Thus you'll hear it.

I've heard the first CD, is it still available? I couldn't find it any record store the last time I was in France.

(I moved the thread under "Music", as this isn't about tapping on a guitar.)

The first CD is still available.
If I come in Belgium I can bring one for you.

I find it on-line too, on a french site: FNAC.COM (http://www.fnac.com). The FNAC is like a Virgin Megastore.
