Hello,

I'm selling my old trusty 6 string Carvin LB76, retrofitted with EMG soapbar PUs. It's been my main axe for 10 years, and has perfect intonation, a clear, punchy tone and light, fast neck.

Tapping on it has been quite easy for me.

I am moving on to a new instrument, and will entertain all offers.

The bass is no longer for sale... After buying and returning two new basses, I've decided to install new quad-coil Barts in it.

I just can't find a better-feeling instrument. The Carvin has the best neck around in its class. I suppose the EMG's (40 dc... soapbars) will be up for sale when the work is finished.

I recently played of couple of basses at the carvin store. I was quite impressed with the playability and low action. Much better than my Fender Squire Jazz, even after I have worked on it. And I love the Icon series.

Oh man, Lactose, I would kill to check out a Carvin store. I have a DC135, Bolt-t, Fretless 4 string and a Cobalt C850T acoustic. Carvin is my favorite maker hands down.

Why did you change the pickups to EMG? Didn't like the Carvins?

I was foolish enough to think I could get "that elusive tone" by purchasing pickups to compensate for a poor bass rig. I have since upgraded my amp and speakers and discovered that, while the EMG's are good, they aren't QUITE as good as the original Carvins. This, after routing huge holes for new pickups... now I can't put the Carvins back in.

So, Barts it is. Problem solved.
