I know that most people never stick to there New Years resolutions but it's always fun to throw some out there.
I'll start:
1) Practice tapping. I don't want to suck anymore.
2) Write and record new songs for my Myspace page.
3) See a Jamsire video!!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!
4) Spend more time on my boat and motorcycle this summer.
5) Help my oldest son with his speech (he's autistic)
6) Take an hour a day with both of my sons for music time!!!
Other than the 'not sucking' part it should be easy, right?
Who wants to go next?

1. Noodle less and write more.
2. Try to play every note with strength and purpose when I perform. Even the unintentional ones.
3. Record a laid back album of Stick and drum grooves that doesn't sound like massage therapy music.
4. Keep making a living doing this.
Wishing everyone a great 2008,
Andy

I'll be satisfied if I can do some serious woodshedding between now and spring.

OK, here goes:
1) Exorcise personal demons.
2) Find a job where the pay allows me to afford healthcare coverage.
3) Visit EJ in SI !!!!
4) Get my MySpace site off the ground.
5) I'd like to rebuild burnt bridges, takes two to Tango on this one tho, I may go first !!!
6) Practicing more is impossible, so changing the quality of practice is up. Continuing with the multiple guitar parts on Zappa's Hot Rats transcriptions and starting on Lou Harrison's Guitar Book transcriptions, both on BOX LM and SRB-640's. May detour back into bass with 6 String Bassics on my long scalers. Also looking to utilize my GR-33, that will require $$'s and is low on my list. Might restart piano lessons where I left off a while back.
And of course the obvious, remaining healthy and holding steadfastly to my views on life and how I should live it !!!!
Have a great '08 to all !!!!!

Did you mean exorcise or exercise?

To Glenn and Phobucket and everyone else. I’m only kidding. Happy New Year to all tappers, worldwide. I hope they have 12-String Harps in parallel 4ths tuning in Heaven.

"The unexamined life is not worth living." -Emerson This last year I found a simple 1-2 minute thing to do each day, and I've done it since I discovered it last spring, and it has been very powerful and useful. (I didn't invent it, but adapted it from something I read.)
Each day I write down a short list of three things. I keep them in a text file, but you could do it on a wall calendar. Here they are. --
IMPT TDY: What is important to do today
(as opposed to what may feel urgent)
UNIVERSE: What I want the Universe to do today. Yep, that's right. I put in my request for what I'd like to see or receive from the Universe, every day.
ADMIN TDY: This is various administrative tasks. They're not really important in themselves, but you have to work through them and so doing some each day works well.
I do not always succeed with getting my IMPT things done. The UNIVERSE does not always give me what I requested, on that day. I do not always get my ADMIN stuff done.
However, it is amazing how the focus helps me get through the IMPT things and the ADMIN things. And it is delightful how often the UNIVERSE does in fact give me what I want.
I also keep a little diary, in the same text file on my computer.
And there's one more (important) thing. At the end of the day, I have a section called ...
PROOF TDY: And here I write down everything that I noticed that the Universe did for me today and I say thank you! Generally there are 5-12 of these. Some are little, like I found a quarter on the street. Some are big. Some are surprising, like I wanted the bank to do so-and-so, and they refused and I was irritatated, and later that day I discovered that that situation actually came out better for me, saving money or opening a new opportunity. And for each one I say "Thank you Universe!"
And so, I do have some resolutions for this year. But first I'd like to cap off the last year and say ...
"Thank you UNIVERSE!"
