Hi All

I received my Maxtapper quad today. I'm sooooo pleased, Traktor and the team at Mobius have done a cracking job on it. I ummed and aaahhed over the spec for ages and was a bit of a pain to be honest but nothing was too much trouble and now I have exactly what I wanted.

I wanted the instrument to be as dark as possible so I opted for the dark wood, blackjack trim and a dark walnut stain. I also have abalone fretdots which look amazing.

All I have to do now is learn how to play it :)

Here's a link to a few photos....

That is a nice looking instrument. I just received mine last week and have been taking it to jam sessions and showing it to friends. It's funny, as much as you hear people rag on the megatar's appearance, everyone is commenting on how beautiful the instrument is. They ask what kind of wood it is, and what the neck is made of. One guitar player said he would like to have a guitar in that body shape.

The body reminds me of the vox phantom. I think eastwood makes a copy of that body shape.

Stunning. Really love the new finishes. Walnut was a good choice. How are the quad pickups?

I've grown to like the Meg's appearance.

The quad pickups qive me a very broad range of tone. On the bass side I can get a trouser-flapping muddy tone right through to a crystal clear hook and slap twang, the treble side is warmer than I'd expected but still has very useable highs. I'm playing through a 100 watt Hartke keyboard amp with the bass going directly into the amp and the treble through a pod xt, Having lots of fun :)
