Hello Tappistry Gurus,
After fixing my stereo to mono cable for my wireless. I learned that the signal from the wireless is 'thinner' and more 'hiss' than the string being tapped.
I assume this is because my megatar's pickup is passive (true tapper dragon also, Im using the same transmitter from my guitar with a 9v batter and it works fine with it)
Any insights on how to improve it without hacking the guitar? (external circuit with small footprint)
Thanks :D

what you are describing is an inherent problem with wireless systems; brittle sound and added noise. i don't think there is much you can do about it. i remember a few years ago, there was a company that used to make cables that used some special type of built in capacitors to make the signal sound better "balanced".

what is your current setup?

Yeah, i was thinking that the transmitter cuts of a lot of the frequences, but it is more obvious on a megatar than on a guitar.
If it has something to do with the passive pickups then i guess you could try to run the signal trough a any box that brings up the signal, and put it before the transmitter? Just to see if thats the problem.

I am using shure transmittter/reciever (9v battery).
I did some research and I saw this at musicians friend,

Any insights if this thing can help me? (my pickups are passive)
Thanks :D

It seems kinda pricey for an "subjective" fix. Why not just go with a good long cables?

yeah your right, I just need to be reminded I'm pinned down so I don't pull half of the stage when I walk around :D
thanks for all the feedback :)
