The playing is absolutely top notch - very fluid and natural. I like that you got the thumb involved in playing some notes. It both inspires me to keep practicing and depresses me about my current lack of skills.
The effects, on the other hand, did nothing for me. It looks like a lot of pedals (and money) for a sound that diminished my enjoyment of your fine playing. Not that I am against effects, I am all midi, but I personally was not impressed with the wacky electronix.

Indeed wacky. I just sat down in that booth and they started hittin' buttons. Like the Outer Limits show "they had control of the TV".

Ok - I have to jump in here. David Koltai - the "young inventor" of Pigtronix is a former student of mine. He is in fact a genius on every level, but he is also completely into all things guitars - and guitarists. I know personally that he was very excited to have Steve pass through, and wanted hear every sonic possibility in the short time Steve was there.
If you go to the Pigtronix.com website you will in fact see a video of me playing various guitars through his EP-1 Envelope Follower. Other videos and audio demos provide further insight on their other products. The envelope follower effect is extremely versatile. Like at any NAMM show, you can't get the full value of anything until you sit down with the item and suit it towards your own personal taste.
Go to the website and get a full demo of the products his company manufactures. Not wacky - innovative and refreshing.
I remain.
