After Jason and Tim kindly dropped by to announce the Arpejji, it occurred to me that a lot has happened in the past year or so:
The Stick community had a good year. Many seminars were held domestically and abroad. New educational materials, from several authors, were released. A new routing pedal was introduced.
The Warr community seems to be stirring. The Baltimore Seminar was largely (but not entirely  ) a Warr gathering. I think it was the first major seminar in the USA for Warr players since Tap Tech IV in 2000. The Warr web presence, once neglected, is now very active, with a web site that is updated almost daily.
The changes at Mobius Megatar were profound. A new shop, new CNC equipment, and new neck-through models were all introduced. As scarce as Traktor has been, and the way units have been disappearing from his eBay store, I can only assume that he is busy and doing well.
Stu Box's new line of instruments begin hitting the market.
Dave Bunker released some phenomenal videos of his Touch Guitar.
Ken Jacobson from Seattle announced his line of tapping instruments.
Mr. Koyabu announced the Koyabu Tiny, a less expensive model of his Koyabu Board line of instruments. The Koyabu Board was demonstrated in trade shows in Japan and China.
The Solene is back! The unit has been upgraded with a new pickup array, and Rich Eberlen released a (very good) CD of music played on his instrument.
The Starrboard is reincarnated! Just a few days ago, the Arpejji was announced by the folks at Marcodi.
On the DIY front, wwhwwwh, Tom, Lactose, Dr. Blues, Big Daddy, Piele, and others, forged ahead with new designs, although I think Brenda's record for number of clamps needed for a single gluing job still stands.
And last (and certainly least), pictures of an odd-looking aluminum contraption from North Dakota began to appear on the internet in 2007.
No doubt I've missed many things. What else happened in 2007? Yes, there were some flame wars and unkind words exchanged in 2007, but let's focus on the positive.
