My old "dot Mac" site has expired.

I put some random files up for my friends, at least temporarily, at:

Let me know if the site doesn't work.

those are some deep tones on that Megatar - what are the tone woods?

Ray,

It was an "Eclipse" model, with light-colored woods, and twin-rail pickups. Basically, it was the cheapest model.

I thought it sounded OK on all strings but the lowest one, where the sound was a bit thinner.....perhaps stretching the range of these pickups.

The instrument was languishing on eBay without a bid, and I picked it up at a reasonable price. As soon as I bought it, someone who had missed the end of the auction contacted me, and offered to buy it at a profit. I said that I wanted to play it for a month first. So, I played it for a month, and sold it.

I thought the instrument was OK, by the way. The neck had a good feel, action was low, etc. Workmanship was good. The width of the neck was a problem for me, but my hands are pretty small. When I splay out my fingers (on a flat surface), it is only 5" from the tip of the index finger to the tip of the pinkie.

RJ,
This is very interesting, thanks for posting.

I hope someone brings a Megatar to the seminar.

So far, everyone has Sticks and Warr... most have both, like me.

Right now you stand alone as the Homegrown instrument player, but don't worry I got your back. :)

I think I'm safe. I'll bring it in a double shotgun case. As long as I keep the lid shut, people will wonder  what else is in there.

I brought two Sticks to the NYC Stick seminar.

I have two Megatars to bring to Baltimore!!

But I can't go!

Oh the horror!
