Hello everyone!
This is a great site for learning how to touch-style tap on a guitar. I will use this site primarily for learning of course.
Anyway, I have played the guitar for about 3-4 years (see profile). My previous style was shredding. However, I got discouraged and abandoned that style because of scary wrist pains. My fingers started to tingle whenever I went to bed.
How did I develop an interest in tapping?
I remember going on youtube.com and seeing Adam Fulara perform amazing Bach pieces. I was astonished. After seeing that, I had a large interest in tapping. After learning the Charlie Brown Theme in a short period of time, I got encouraged and excited.
I am a beginner at touch-style and I hope to get better. Someday I will be able to play Bach pieces such as the Goldberg variations.
I wish that there was a greater interest in touch-style on the internet. There aren't that many lessons or even instructional book that are available. But since I have played the guitar for a while, I should be able to learn how to tap without much instruction.
Anyway, I find this site helpful. Hopefully I will be able to learn a lot from this site.
Adrian
